EGIN is King of the North wind, and of the Northern Court. At first he looks like a man with tusks, and a bright clear face. His nose is as sharp as a sword. He wears two jeweled crowns, and he rides a dragon. He may later assume the form of a child, holding on either side of him a hissing, shining snake.
Egin will answer any question about the past, present, or future. He can reveal all kinds of secret and hidden things. He breathes fire, and is able to cause the alterations of things. He can turn coals into treasure, and treasure into coals. He can turn any living plant or animal into stone.
He teaches on matters relating to the 69 parts of the world, and on the being & compacting of this world. He teaches on what the Earth is, and whether water may sustain the Earth or whether the Earth may sustain water.
He teaches what wine is, and where it comes from.
He teaches on the nature of the Bottomless Pit, and where it can be found.
